Importing a site collection through stsadm

stsadm -o import -url http://portal -filename c:\portal.cmp -includeusersecurity -updateversions 2

* Sometimes it is necessary to delete and re-create the root site-collection.
* Also make sure that the target and source site collections are of the same template type (i.e. Team Collaboration or Blank Site Collection etc.)
